Sundays. No work nor classes. It's the time to rest our bodies from a week long work and classes or any regular activities for that matter. Usually, I find Sundays as laundry day or TV and DVD marathon day. It's more on doing things that I can't do during other days because there are other things lined-up that needed to do.
Sundays. For some, it's a family day. The best time to bond with your kids if your a parent. Or get to visit and have lunch at your old folks' house. It's usually the day when most busy people tend to relax and enjoy. For restaurant owners and crew, it is a busy day for a lot of customers get to eat along with families and friends. Sundays means something else for everyone, depending on the situation.

Sundays. It is a church day. I remember my mother would always wake us all up to attend the sunday mass. She wanted to instill in us the importance of the day. Growing up and going to catholic schools almost all my life, going to church was a must. It was more of compulsory than voluntary since my religion teacher would give a quiz regarding the gospel the next day, thus everyone has to attend unless you want to fail her quiz. I usually did not like sundays because of that. I was not a religious person, not a church goer or even know the verses in the Bible. Yes, I pray every night and on some occasions where prayers seemed the only solution to the problem, but to really make God the center of my life or be super religious is something I was not and I thought I'll never be.
One Sunday, a friend of mine who has been attending a christian church invited me to attend the service. I was kind of hesitant to go since I am catholic and attending church aside from catholic was like a mortal sin. But for some reasons, I went. I listened to the pastor and the topic of that day is choosing to worry or to worship. I was in a deep self-thought while listening because somehow I get to relate to the situation that he presented. Right. Why worry about your problems when worrying won't solved it? Instead of focusing on the problem, why not focused on the solution? I was so moved by his statement that worshiping and praying do make wonders all you have to do is ask God's help. I was so moved and embarrassed at the same time since only in times of problems we tend to remember him.
Sundays. For me, it is the day that I look forward to every week. The day I can attend the service and heard the talks of the pastor based on the words of God. No, I am not a convert. Yes, I still attend catholic mass from time to time but I always feel the joy of going to the service because it makes me guided for the whole week. I have so many learnings in a short span of time. Right now, I can honestly say that Sunday is favorite day.
